May 15, 2018 -- Honolulu Casa Herradura, Brown Forman and Young's Market Company of Hawaii debut Herradura ULTRA at Sky Waikiki. This cristalino tequila is composed of Herradura’s añejo blended with Seleccion Suprema Extra Añejo Tequila and aged in bourbon barrels. A touch of agave is added, and to finish, it is charcoal filtered in a style similar to that used in clear rum production.

IICHIKO BLU ANNOUNCES 2018 BARTENDER COMPETITION WINNERS Eight of Hawaii’s best bartenders created incredible cocktails at the 2018 iichiko BLU (https://www.iichiko.co.jp/en/) Bartender Competition, Jan. 31, at Sky Waikiki. Andrew Woodley, of The Myna Bird Tiki Bar, took first place with his original creation, “Gift of the Islands,” showcasing the award-winning shochu spirit. Woodley won an all-expense-paid trip to visit the iichiko distillery in Oita Prefecture, Japan and $1,500 in cash.
