    • Category Education
When making a purchasing decision, it is often helpful to understand the larger category and before making the specific product selection.  As part of The Beverage Guide, we provide insight into the production choices of the the brewer, distiller, or winemaker.  In doing so, we also help
dissect larger categories into smaller, more relevant ones.   This has generally entailed an examination of the micro-biology and organic chemistry of production to  help find universal descriptions for flavors and flavor production.
    • Product Level Insight
The Beverage Guide column provide in-depth product insight and reviews on beer, wine and spirits that include what a product is made of, how it’s made and traditional tasting notes.  What makes this section unique is a focus on how to utilize product within the context of a beverage program.  For spirits this includes the ingredients the spirit pairs with and the suggested methods of utilizing the spirit in a drink be it stirred, shaken, on the rocks or neat.
    • Brand Spotlight
This column will give an overview of the brand and feature the key people involved, the styles of products they make, their methodology, and most interestingly what inspires them to produce their product.
    • Product Index
Instead of being limited to the Brand Index in the print version of Hawaii Beverage Guide, hawaiibevguide.com provides a searchable product index.
