Kapalua Best Banks Cocktail

May on Maui included “Kapalua’s Best Banks Cocktail Competition” in which participating restaurants and resorts created and featured a crafted cocktail using either the Banks 5 Island Rum or Banks 7 Island Rum.  ​

The competition consisted of two parts: The first was a “fan favorite”, in which imbibers posted a photo of their favorite cocktail on social media with the hashtag #kapaluasbestcocktail, #KWFF2018 and tagged the host restaurant/resort.  The second part of the competition was judged by Chandra Lucariello from Southern Glazers Wine and Spirits, Lili Hess of Bacardi, Dillon Dray of Transatlantic Spirits of Hawaii and Hawaii Beverage Guide’s own, publisher Chris Teves. The winning cocktail from the judging portion will be featured at the Grand Tasting this year at the Montage, and the winning bartender will be serving their drink to the guests all night at the Banks Rum Bar.
